| We
recently visited with Nature's Sunshine's Chief Scientific Officer, Dr.
Matt Tripp, about CardioxLDL. We asked Dr. Tripp to share some of the
findings of the clinical studies that were conducted on this unique
formulation. He provided the following information. |

| In
our peer-reviewed published research paper (7), we reported the
laboratory research conducted in the Hughes Center and in our clinical
study, including the examination of the clinical safety and efficacy of
CardioxLDL formula in subjects with moderate dyslipidemia. |
| In
laboratory assays, CardioxLDL showed a synergistic inhibition of
oxidation of biological molecules involved in cardiovascular
dysfunction, including peroxynitrite formation, and myeloperoxidase
activity. The latter is known to oxidize LDLc, a key contributor to the
initiation and propagation of atherosclerosis. |
| We
gave healthy volunteers with varying stages of cardiovascular
dysfunction two capsules of CardioxLDL with their evening meal for 12
weeks. No dietary intervention or change was offered other than what is
typically given to this class of people. We simply wanted to study the
effects of the nutritional supplement. Here's what we observed: |

CardioxLDL
was found to be safe. No treatment-related adverse events or changes in
body mass were seen, consistent with not recommending any calorie
restriction. |

Statistically significant changes were noted in the following categories:

Total cholesterol decreased 7.3% |
| - |
LDL cholesterol decreased 10% |
| - |
Non-HDL cholesterol decreased 7.1% |

Cholesterol/HDL decreased 26% |

Apolipoprotein B decreased 2.8% |

A
subgroup analysis of subjects with prediabetes (HbA1c > 5.4, HOMA-IR
score > 2 and elevated triglycerides) revealed additional
statistically significant improvements. These include:

LDL/HDL decreased 25% |

triglycerides/HDL decreased 27% |

oxLDL/HDL decreased 25% |

A
follow-up case report of a 70 year-old female patient, unresponsive to
statin therapy and placed on daily CardioxLDL demonstrated improved
cardio-metabolic variables over 12 weeks similar to the subgroup.

| In
summary, CardioxLDL was clinically well-tolerated and effective for
ameliorating dyslipidemia in subjects with moderate cardio-metabolic
risk factors, particularly in the individuals with HbA1c > 5.4%. |
